It also features a search box that has categories and keywords, and model names. However it does start to get confusing from then on. For example, the site content isn't on the page where you expect it to be, instead it's on a different page for some reason. The other main page is just a feed. In your actual Bear Gay XXX area there are only 10 sets of episodes and these each has a photo and video collection. The other area, Bear Patrol, which is a feed, is run by clicking through page by page, and after a while you don't know where one video ends and the other begins.

Due to the fact that there are only 10 episodes here it's difficult to say whether the site gets updated. Most guys looking for a bear site want more than just 10 videos. So, Gay Bears XXX may not be that perfect bear site that you are looking for. The videos that you do get come in WMV and QuickTime formats with two sizes for the WMV versions. Sadly, you can only stream these, and it looks like they come from various other sites run by the same company, so they are not exclusive to this site. Things start to go slightly awry when you start viewing these videos. There is an option that is labeled 640 x 480, but all they do is make the player window larger. When this is actually as a 320 x 240 video with big black border you can see how quality starts to deteriorate. The bit rate was at 500kbps, and it's really difficult to enlarge these videos and see them. There was no full scene option either, which means you have to click through each individual clip one by one. This really gets in the way of your personal jerk session, especially when you have a 50 minute video in five-minute clips.

The galleries and their individual pictures, however, make for a much better viewing experience than the movies. Each episode comes with a set of digital shots, which are nicely taken and a good size at 533 x 800. Okay so that's not huge and we all like to see bigger pictures, but after you have seen the videos you'll think this is spectacular quality. You will not find a slideshow option, but you can download sets in zip files. You can also use PicLens to view these pictures, which is a nice little application, and one that is becoming more popular. Gay Bear XXX was only the second site I've seen to use PicLens. Keep an eye out for the software, it's free and fun to use.

Although members have seven bonus sites to access that are all made by the same company, you won't see any other specific bear content. You'll find a muscle site, but there were not too many bears in there, and then you can find nine feed sites. Everything is gay and tranny orientated, but comes across as just general padding around a small collection of niche content.

I found Gay Bear XXX to be a disappointment. All you really get are a few videos taken from other sites on the network, and there is nothing exclusive look here at all. Take into account that there are only 10 episodes, and they're not in the size that is advertised on the tour, and you can see why this might well be a site to treat with caution. It is one of those places where the tour is much better than the members area, but it could, on the other hand, be a good way into the larger network.
